Hairdressers, beauticians: what kind of help can you expect?

The activity premium

The activity premium is a supplement to workers' income. This scheme, which has been in force since 2016, replaces the employment premium and the RSA activité.

Conditions for granting the activity bonus

To be eligible for the activity bonus, you must meet the following 4 conditions:

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Stable residence in France
  • Receive income from a professional activity (self-employed, employee, auto-entrepreneur, apprentice...)
  • Be French or have held a residence permit authorising work for at least 5 years.

The activity bonus is paid on the 5th of each month from the month in which you submit your application. It is calculated for three months based on your household's resources in the previous quarter.

The amount of the activity bonus is complex to determine, as several elements are taken into account, namely your status (manager of a hairdressing salon or simple employee), the number of dependents, but also your income.

To estimate your rights for free you can use the free simulator Mes Allocs. Created in 2018, Mes Allocs is a platform that allows you to simulate for free and in two minutes all the help you can claim. The calculation is done among more than 650 national, regional, departmental and local aids.
