Google My Business is a free service offered by Google to help your hair salon or beauty salon get a better ranking in the Google search engine. The referencing of your establishment is optimized, especially concerning a local search.
You are facing 3 cases concerning your Google My Business listing :
Google My Business is actually the Google directory, your Google My Business listing is listed in this directory when it is created. You can find your listing on the right side of your browser when you search for your salon in Google.
If it contains all the information, the name of the establishment, the address, the opening hours, your website, the link of the online booking, and photos are indicated. The sheets look like this:
The Google My Business directory allows you to link all your digital media, it contains the link to your website, your Facebook comments and it allows your (future) customers to directly make an online booking of your salon. The Google directory is a force for local search: when Internet users type in Google "hair salon + city name".
Having a Google My Business listing is essential for your referencing on the Internet!
If you don't have Google My Business yet, here are the steps to follow:> Go to www.google.fr>In the search bar, type: google my business>In the results, click on Google My Business - Your free business listingon Google
> Click on " Start " in the top right corner (green).
> Enter the details of your establishment by entering all the requested information and click " Next ".
> It's possible that Google offers you establishments that already exist, either yours is in them or they're similar establishments in the surrounding area.
2 options are then available to you:
If the record does not belong to anyone, you can validate the record with a code.
> To validate your establishment with a code, Google sends either a postal address, an SMS (if the number is a mobile phone but it is better to put the number of the lounge), or a voicemail automatically calls you with a number that you must enter in your record. > Enter the code and you are the owner!
If the master record is associated with an e-mail account that is unknown to you, you can claim the master record. An email will be sent to the email address associated with the record. If no action is performed within 7 days, you can go back to the form and put your details to retrieve the form.
> Check " I am authorized to operate this establishment and I accept the Terms of Use ", then click " Continue ".
> To validate your establishment, Google checks with the code.
If your Google My Business listing exists but does not belong to anyone :
> Search for your establishment on Google - type the name of your establishment + the city where you are located (if you can't find your listing, it doesn't exist and must be created. Refer to the paragraph above).
Your file can appear in 2 different ways:
Don't forget to click on'Other addresses' to check that your file does not exist.
> On the form, you can click on " Are you the owner of this establishment? »
> Check " I am authorized to operate this establishment and I accept the Terms of Use ", then click " Continue ".
> To validate your establishment, Google checks using a code, which it sends either by postal address, or by SMS (if the number is a mobile phone but it is better to put the number of the lounge), or a voicemail box calls you automatically with a number that you must enter in your record. > Enter the code and you are the owner!
