Blade Hairclub, the Netflix and Chill Hair Salon.

Located in Soho, an area of London with a vibrant nightlife, Blade Hairclub seeks to change the customer experience in hairdressing salons with the creation of "hairclubbing": a cross between your typical visit to the hairdressers and an evening out with friends.

It's about turning a solitary experience into something you can enjoy with your friends.

What is hair clubbing?

It's simply a combination of haircuts and clubbing, hence the name. If you're wondering how this is possible, don't worry. Blade kept the chairs and the mirrors, but what they added were drinks, Netflix and good music.

Blade hairclub

The "Blade Hairclub" salon is a concept created by Julia Olofsson and her husband, DT Stroo. To change the hair salon experience, at Blade, hairdressers can bring their friends or even bring their dogs!

Featuring an upstairs café, a downstairs cocktail bar and live jazz nights, Blade Hairclub combines the atmosphere of a friendly café with the buzz of a trendy bar and the satisfaction of actually enjoying getting your hair done. Guests at Blade Hairclub find a relaxed atmosphere, a friendly staff, well-made drinks and lively conversation. If the customer doesn't feel like chatting he can always browse the iPad with Netflix provided in front of his chair.

HAIRDRESSING SALON HAIRCLUB

The Hair Salon Experience

The client chooses the hairdresser who should take care of him and make him look pretty. In the meantime he can spend time with his friends, relax with a hot chocolate or a glass of wine or watch a movie on netflix, the hair salon tries to transform a solitary, regular and often tedious experience into a rewarding experience to share with others. Blade's founders present the concept as an attempt to change the industry. It is, in their words, "the long-awaited end to difficult and intimidating hairdressing experiences. “

The bar experience

BLADE HAIR CLUB BAR

The intimate and well-stocked bar downstairs offers a small but tasty selection of cocktails, whiskies, wines, beers ... Managed by co-founder Stroo, a drinks lover and whisky connoisseur, the drinks are meticulously selected to offer the best value for money and to satisfy customers: the bar offers Sidamo Arabica coffee beans of Ethiopian origin and matcha green tea of ceremonial quality with rare bourbons not available in the UK and single malts selected and brought from the US and Scotland by Stroo personally.
