We have told you over and over again, your presence on the Internet is now indispensable! But what to do when you are not a "digital native"? Indeed, the configuration of your Facebook page sometimes seems too complicated and you don't dare to touch it, for fear of messing up everything. And that's a shame!
Your Facebook page can be an opportunity to make a good first impression on a potential customer and that's why it should be clear and present a number of essential information.
Just likethe website, the Facebook page is a way to assert your salon's identity. It is important that the title of your Facebook page matches the name of your salon. Otherwise, you may lose potential customers who searched for you on Facebook but did not find you.
Before you change the name of your Facebook Page, check to see if there's already a Page with the same name as you. It's possible that another room has the same one! In this case, it's a good idea to add the name of the city in which your room is located so that it can be quickly identified by your customers.
So if the name of your Facebook page doesn't match the name of your living room, or if you want to add/delete something, Wavy has prepared a little guide for you. All you have to do is follow these steps:
1/ Go to your Facebook page and click on "see more" in the drop-down menu on the left side of your screen.
2/ After this action, several categories are displayed, the one we are interested in here is the "About" part, click on it.
3/ Scroll down a little until "General" is displayed. Here you will find the general information on your page including the category and the name of your page. This is where you can change the type of category or the name of your room, by clicking on'Modify'.
If the "Edit" button does not appear at this stage of the process, here are the reasons:
4/ Click on this "Edit" button, a small window will appear with some hints and tips from Facebook, read them!
5/ Now you can change your salon name in the "New page name" section. Choose your new name, type it and click on continue.
6/ Now Facebook will check your new name.
Please note that this may not be accepted for several reasons. In this case go to the Facebook platform to find out why your new name was not accepted.
There you go, now your Facebook page has the title that your salon and your customers can easily find you! You can further enhance your customers' experience on your Internet channels (especially the big Facebook fans) by allowing them to book an appointment in your salon directly from your Facebook page. To do this, just add the "Book" button and that's it, Wavy explains in its article How to add online booking on its Facebook page?
