Atika launched her own business a year ago. Trained as a beautician, she wanted to give a new twist to her profession by specialising. She therefore turned to eye beauty and permanent make-up. Today, she offers services around the eyes with eyelash extensions, eyelash enhancement, permanent make-up with the shading method or even eyebrow waxing or threading.

Between the administrative steps to create her company, the communication to make herself known, the management of her clients or the bookkeeping, she tells us how Wavy helped her in her daily life.

Communication: the sinews of war

"For me, the hardest part of our business is getting known. When I started my business, I really gave it my all on social networks. I already had my account as a professional make-up artist specialising in weddings. So I fed my Instagram every day, especially to show my new services and acquire new clients" she tells us. 

In addition to her involvement on Instagram, Atika was also involved in an association project against breast cancer. The participants could pay for a service with a photo shoot and the money was donated directly to the association. This charitable operation allowed her to make herself known in the region, while doing something for a noble cause.

"To maximise my chances of being known at the beginning of my activity, I also took part in a competition. It was a competition with other professionals in the region, such as a nail technician for example. But also with an influencer who had her own clothing brand with capsule collections. Following this operation, she gained 300 subscribers in 2 weeks.

Online booking: what has changed his daily life

"After a while, taking appointments by message via Instagram became unmanageable for me," explains Atika. In fact, in the beginning, the professional spent a lot of time chatting with potential clients via messages in order to give them the best information. She quickly realised that the time spent informing potential clients, in relation to making an appointment, was not interesting for her.

As her customer base grew, she had less time to make reservations by message. Online booking saved her time. Her schedule filled up more efficiently and quickly. As a fan of Instagram, where she had developed the most awareness, she was able to set up the online booking and therefore maximise her appointments.

She also tells us that online booking has appeared as a filter on who contacts her to become a client. Indeed, only people who are really interested in her services end up making an appointment. Thus she no longer wastes time informing curious people who end up not finalising an appointment. Over time, she has found that her clients prefer not to chat on a social network before consulting her. Instead, they prefer to have a first exchange during a physical appointment, just like a diagnosis before taking the step of permanent make-up.

Her appointment booking via instant message on Instagram, also increased the chances of appointment cancellations due to forgetfulness: "With the seamless payment that online booking offers, things have completely changed. I don't have any more impromptu cancellations and people take more time to let me know if they need to. 

With the old method, she also tells us that the client's details were not always taken in a rigorous manner and this can complicate invoicing for example. For example, at the time of her accounting, the absence of a full name or personal information could happen. Online booking allows the collection of client data, especially telephone numbers. This is very useful for SMS campaigns, for example. They are known to build customer loyalty in a simple and effective way.

For her, making appointments has also meant more professionalism. Her clients are more selective, more assiduous in their appointments and instantly convinced by her expertise.

Having his own website was the other revolution in his business: "I noticed that all my colleagues had the same website, all from the same platform and therefore not at all personalized.
