Luxe Pack Monaco is the packaging exhibition for luxury brands, where many players in the perfumery and cosmetics industry are present. In our previous article, we discussed the two trends for the coming decade: eco-responsibility and personalization. Discover here a company that is revolutionizing the world of packaging, and that puts the emphasis on the customer experience.

Wheaton revolutionises packaging in the beauty industry

Who's Wheaton?

Wheaton is an international group in perfumery, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. This group, which is one of the 5 world leaders, invests heavily in Research and Development in order to best meet the needs and desires of tomorrow's consumers. Wheaton's innovative concepts are always one step ahead in technology, service and product design.

What solutions did Wheaton present?

At the Luxe Pack Monaco exhibition, Wheaton Brasil presented its latest innovations: Photocromatic Spray, the packaging where you can write This totally white packaging reacts to UV light, allowing consumers to "write" on the coating thanks to a specific luminous pencil. The customer experience is greatly optimised, as the consumer interacts directly with the (almost) finished product and can personalise the packaging by writing what he or she wants on it. Imagine offering a cosmetic product to a friend, with a message directly on the packaging! Pretty cool, isn't it?

Customized packaging from Wheaton

The Perfumed Screen, the olfactory packaging

And yes, it's real! Wheaton has created an olfactory packaging, but how? It's thanks to inscriptions in ink, which is itself scented with perfume, allowing consumers to discover the perfume through its bottle. It's almost over, the thousands of scented labels we hold in our hands, and the paper consumption that goes with them. According to Premium Beauty News, the glassmaker can produce up to 1 billion glass bottles per year, or 365 tons of glass per day. These are the kind of changes the industry will experience.

Not so long ago, we did not imagine that this was possible, but these innovations will become our habits of tomorrow. Expect even more surprises soon!
